‘Set your course for Myojin Island.’ Captain Ike scanned his chart.
‘There’s no such place. It says here Myojin sank out of sight forty years ago.’ ‘She’s just popped up again.’ Hal and Roger, who had been loafing on the deck, suddenly came to life. ‘Are we going to see a big eruption?’ inquired Roger. ‘According to the seismographs it’s so big that if it exploded in the middle of New York, there would be no New York.’ ‘Who reported it to Tokyo?’ Hal asked.
