That weekend the entire gang stalked me. Already on Wednesday evening, Yahya had come ‘with some of his friends and stood across the road from the mosque, like demonstrators ready to protest. He came with Hani, and two other boys whom I didn’t recognise.
But it was Yahya who was the most persistent. He followed my every move, tracking me on his bike, his boy sitting on the back seat, wrapping his arms around Yahya’s waist.
