In polity they are as much the enemies of war and priestly domination as they were when the Leicestershire en- thusiast proclaimed the uselessness and unscriptural nature of a clergy set apart for the spiritual guidance of their fellow-crea- tures, and would not permit his disciples to speak of our parish churches by any more respectful appellation than 'steeple- houses.
