A passenger^ alighting from a train at a station is not bound to keep hold of the car-rail till he reaches the ground. (Id.) 1260. A passenger who, under the direction of its conductor is getting off a slowly-moving train because it is one which does not stop at his destination, is not necessarily guilty of negligence in omitting to observe a train coming from the other direction from the other track and hid from his view until he gets on the last step from which he is thrown by a jerk of his own train.
