In vi. 2 it is hard to see any meaning in the last word of the clause, " Oh that my calamity were laid in the bal- ances together !" * Hence the Appendix omits it, and renders. (A similar instance of the same amended rendering of the Hebrew is to be seen in xxiv. 4.)
