During the year 1876, it established agents at Fort Worth, Waco, Mineola, Longview, Terrell, Mexia and Calvert, Texas. In 1877 the firm bought 600,000 lbs. of the best light medium wools of the state. In 1878 the Littlehale Bros, bought 40,000 buffalo or bison hides. This was the year during which the bison became practically extinct in Texas. The brothers also handled a large amount of furs, which went directly to the robe manufacturers.
