If we really desired to make up the chronicle of his life we should have to know what sermons, full of his sincere convictions, enlarged your minds or fell warmly on your hearts, what prayer direct- ed the fluttering thoughts of the dying to their Father, what advice gave its color to some unde- cided day, what unobtrusive effort met the want of the poor, what cheerful conversation lightened the eyes of the miserable.
