He is faid by Tzetzes to have been the ion of Neptune and Turo a ; and to have been expoied during his infancy, along with his brother Pelias who was after- wards king of Iolcus, in a pafture where horfes were wont to graze b . The fcholiaft upon Apollonius mentions, that two of the other fons of Neleus were 'Taurus and AJlerius c ; a circumftance, which may perhaps confirm the preceding etymology of the word Neftor y for the reader will recoiled;, that the brazen 'Talus of Crete, who was the fame as the z Vide fupra p.
