Gideon was born in West Greenwich. Jeremiah, the second child, was also born in West Greenwich on the 1st da}^ of April, 1749. By R. I. Records, but on the 12th as kept by the family; married Hann. Ih Matteson and moved to Manchester, Vermont, in 1792; from thence he went... to Black Creek, Ontario, and died there on the second day of April, 1823, and she also March 6, 1839, leaving as children Jonathan, Sarah, Reuben, Levi, Thomas, Hannah, Elizabeth and Amarilla (twins), Mary and Lucy Ann. (Benjamin, a son of the above Reuben, was banished to Van Dieman's Land for political of- fenses in Canada in 1838. ) Thomas, the third in order, was born on the loth day of April, 1/55; married Naomi Weeks on New Years day. 1778, and his children were Eunice and Lucy.
Mary, the next in order, was born on the nth day of February, 1757; married Reuben Wait o n the nth day of May, 1775, and her children were Mary, Reuben, Sally, Silas Ward and Rufus S.
