The eyes are round, and not very large. The superior antennae are longer than the inferior ; the fla- gellum is not so long as the peduncle. The inferior antennae are more slender than the superior, but the peduncle reaches almost as far as that of the superior ; the flagellum is scarcely longer than the last joint of the peduncle. The first pair of legs are rather small, and the infero-distal extremity of the wrist scarcely reaches to half the length of the hand ; the hand is long and narrow, the palm, fringed with small hairs, extends the entire length of the joint, and is subparallel with the upper margin, which is produced beyond the point where the finger articulates with the hand ; the finger is long AMPHILOCHUS MANUDENS.
