The other part of our line then sprang forward and his center broke in confusion and fled a la Winchester and Fisher's Hill. This scene was magnificent. The field was hilly, striped with ravines and dotted with woods, but occasionally the whole long curving line could be seen with its twice eighty flags, all in front, all tossed in the breeze that speed lent the air, floating their bright stars and gilded insignia of States along the triumphant way.
