SOME QUESTIONS ANSWERED 1 33 While Paul was on his way to Damascus, and when near that city, suddenly, about noon, there shone round about him and his travelhng companions a hght from heaven, above the brightness of the sun; and they all fell to the ground, and he heard the voice of Jesus speaking to him/ The New Testament gives conflicting accounts of what then happened. " ^ This is corroborated by the account given in another chapter;' but, according to a third account, Paul received his instructions from Jesus at the time and place of his apparition.
