XLL E'en so brave Marsden's visits had their end : He had outlived his span of seventy years ; But he would die, as he had lived, the friend Of Maori-land ; so heeded not the fears Of anxious friends, but charmed their listening ears With glowing forecasts of New Zealand's fame ; Nor rests till once again his course he steers Towards the rising of the Eastern flame, And lands where Kokianga's fruits shall soon outshame BUILDING UP.
