Some of the feigned diseases of the extre- mities have been discussed, — chronic rheuma- tism and paralysis, in connection with affections of the cerebro-spinal nervous system. I do not propose to add any thing to what I have already said on these diseases.
Contraction of a joint, the alleged result of rheumatism or injury, is one of the most frequently feigned disabilities.
