After five or six days mote the adult emeigesy making the Gjde from ^gg to adult about one month. There are about four broods each year (in New York), but th^ are not sharply 8q>arated. AU stages may be found on one tree from June to September. In generti, however, the greatest numbers are present at intervals of about one month. The adults emeiging in September are usually the hibo^ nating winter forms.
