The force engaged on our side, which started from Pretoria before daybreak, comprised the mounted infantry, two Q-pounders, one y-pounder, Nourse's Horse under Glynn, parties of the 2d-2ist, 94th, and volunteers the infantry being conveyed some way towards the scene of action by mule wagons.
