SPIRITO, a grand old XHIth century Church, redesigned by Brunelleschi, burnt in 1480, and famed for its simple and elegant architecture, its grace- ful Corinthian columns of Fiesole stone, its 38 semi-circular chapels with as many altars, and its glorious frescoes and paintings by old masters.
