The declaration that whofoever liveth and believeth in Chrift fliall never die, implies further an exemp- tion from that natural evil or mifery, which is infep- arable from a ftate oi fpiritual death, and which will ultimately terminate in eternal death. Believers are freed from this, not only by the judicial fentence of 11 God, in their favor, declaring they fliaH not come in- to condemnation, that there is no condeiiiRation to them, and that they fliall inherit everlafting lifejbutthey arefecured from the poflibility of mil'ery in a future world, by the nature of that holy di^fition they polTefs.
