The necks are decorated with sacred altar utensils, Joey heads, and emblems in various colours ; the whole on a brilliant black enamel back- ground. Kang-He period.

On either side is the figure of a Dog Fo with aubergine mane and tail, and green body. Separating the shoulder is a narrow white band, beyond which is a border of green with a continuous band of crude Joey heads in yellow. The whole on a fine quality yellow background. Early Kang-He period.

Another Jar, similar in shape and form, the centre to the pair just mentioned, this decorated with a brilliant apple-green background, on which are bamboo trees, and in front of this are rocks in aubergine ; the rest of the decoration is a hawthorn tree with white blossoms and relieved with five flying birds.
