Cocaine (10 per cent.) may be used for local anesthesia. Larger sessile tumors are best removed with the ihcrmo- or gjdvamvcautery under general anesthesia. Others are atheromas, formed by occlusion of a sebaceous follicle, and contain a pultaceous mass. Most of them are filled with a serous fluid. Some seem to l>e due to an old extravasation of blood or to expansion of lymphatic vessels.
