I suppose he had given me something. He’d told me to leave, which meant that as dangerous as my visit to Earth had been so far, he felt it was going to get a lot worse if I stuck around.
I walked back toward the compound building, trying not to feel dejected. Maybe it would be best to head for home. If the courier was repaired and refueled, we could be away from here in a flash.
