The last thing I remember is talking to Bradi, but now it’s morning and Dade is asleep at my bedside. Searching my tray table for my phone, I spot it and reach over. The clock says 6:17AM.
I hear a sleepy, “Whatimeisit, Sis?”
Looking over at my rumpled big brother I smile at him. He’s squinting and his dark hair is a mess since it’s come out of his hair tie. He stretches and I hear his back pop as I answer him. “About a quarter after six. Hi.”
He takes my hand and the deep brown eyes that mirror... my own are staring into mine. He smiles slightly and squeezes my hand. “Hi. How are you feeling?”
I think about it for a minute. I stretch and feel my stomach. Smiling at him, I say, “I’m ok. We both are. I feel fine. I’m sorry you had to cut your trip short.”
Both of our hands are resting on my stomach and his eyes take it in. He looks at me and I see his eyes are glassy. “Liam called me frantic. You scared the hell out of us, baby girl.”
I shrug, “I know. I didn’t do it on purpose, Dade.
