In 1836 the little family moved twenty-five miles further west, in search of a more healthful location, to the east bank of the so-called DuPage river, which was little more than a creek, and there Isaac Wilson Lord was born on the loth of June, 1836. Three other families located there about the same time, and among these pioneer settlers was Colonel Warren, a retired army officer who had come to the west from Boston.
