\Yhile watching it closely, a month later, one of the vest-like folds on the breast (Fig. 22) slowly began to part, revealing, first, a curious bridge of fringe across the opening. What could this be ? The side of the clear-glass box, even, was too much obstruction for the impatient watcher.
