During the Penins...ular and Waterloo campaigns, this Regiment Digitized by VjOOQ IC 20 therefore had four battalions serving in diflferent parts of the world. In some of them there were many Scotsmen ; but we will confine ourselves to the 3d battalion, as it alone served in the Peninsula and at Waterloo. The other battalions were then in the East and West Indies.
By the Kegimental Kecord Book for the 3d battalion, from 1804 to 1817, the names of 1087 men are recorded, viz. : — 197 Scots, 404 English, 464 Irish, 22 Foreigners.
