The early part of the course is devoted to fundamental physiological processes such as digestion, circulation, respiration and excretion, and upon these as a foundation are based studies of personal hygiene, hygiene of the school child, sanitation of school buildings, and surroundings, public and home sanitation, and recognition of defects in children.
