BUSINESS RELOCATION The Business Relocation Section of the BRA was placed under the Department of Non -Reside...ntial Development in 1968. This insured closer coordination between those planning future non- residential development and those representing displaced busi- nesses .
The Business Relocation Section has a triple objective.
It assists businesses in selecting new quarters. It helps obtain financial assistance. And it provides relocation pay- ments for moving expenses, losses of personal property and Small Business Displacement Payments for those who qualify.
Seven years ago, two persons in the BRA were involved in business relocation for one renewal project area.
