The following number of books have been loaned: Adult: Fiction 972 Non-fiction 55 20 Juvenile 364 Total number books loaned 1392 Magazines 424 In December Miss Pratt of the New Hampshire Public Library Commission came to catalogue the books. She spent two days with the librarian classifying and numbering the books, but left all detail work for the librarian to do, which she has been doing along with her regular work.
The librarian and the trustees have thought it best for the Library to install... the "book card and pocket" system. This, of course, meant added work but as it is of mutual benefit to the patrons as well as to the librarian, she has gladly given much of her time to this work.
Both the teacher and pupils of our school have had special privileges, and in all ways the librarian has tried to co-operate with them.
Our young readers have enjoyed coming to the Library.
They like animal stories, and have enjoyed the new books by Thornton Burgess.
It is indeed a real pleasure to the librarian and trustees to see the interest that has been shown in the Library and to know of the pleasure that so many of our new readers have enjoyed.
