They will be put in operation in a few weeks, and the almost innumerable oil lanterns, that have so long served to make darkness visible, will be numbered amongst the things that were. These and other improvements, that have been made in the steam-heating apparatus, have already demonstrated that there will be a considerable saving of fuel in the future.
