This bridge is entirely unfit for any loads that might pass over a highway. We recommend building a new steel bridge, and in accordance with our conversation at the time of inspec- tion, we will send you a sketch or plan and estimate in season for you to submit it to the voters at the next town meeting.
BRIDGE NO. 11, SWIFTWATER BRIDGE.
This is a through truss bridge with timber arches. The trusses were not intended for a single span bridge, but are answering all right as supports for the arches.
