For Year Ending December 31st, 1958 The state public health nurse made home visits to babies and preschools and adults when needed. These were done for promotion of good physical and mental health and the prevention of communicable diseases and correction of defects.
One Well Child Conference was conducted in the spring ; 10 children received a physical examination by the physician, 3 received polio booster shots, 2 received 2 shots of polio vaccine, 3 received the triple shots of diphtheria..., tetanus and whooping cough, and 1 was vaccinated for smallpox.
My sincere thanks to the doctors, health officer, town officials, school nurse and health committee for their assistance and cooperation.
