The school was broken up by the whooping cough, but those who were able to attend school made good improve- ment. Fall term was taught by Miss Clara Ballard of Concord. This was Miss Ballard's first term, yet the school made good improvement under her instruction. Wood Hill. Summer term taught by Mr. Edwin A. Colby. Mr. Colby is a teacher of much experience, and labored hard for the advancement o...f his school. There being very few 26 pupils at the Bog the school board formed a union of the two schools for this term only. For the remainder of the year the school was under the charge of Miss Emma A. Root of Goffstown. This was Miss Root's first experience in teaching, and her success was very commendable. The closing examination would have done credit to a much more experienced teacher. River Road. This school was taught for the entire year by Nellie J. Bloomfield of this town, with her usual success.
