This, I hope, is the start of a fire alarm system.
We raised $409.00 from the sale of scrap paper and $15.00 from scrap iron. The fire department dances from January through May netted us $646.00. We have added $1,030.00 to our Building Fund which, at the end of the year, totaled $2,925.00. This winter we were unable to obtain the use of the Grange Hall, so our hopes of raising $1,000.00 on dances during the winter were not realized.
The Bow Community Men's Club made us a present of $50.00 whic...h was used toward the purchase of 5 rubber coats. They will be greatly appreciated.
Senator Robert W. Upton has given to the town of Bow, for the use of the Fire Department, the lot of land 57 directly across from our present fire station. This will give us enough land for our new fire station and a large drill and parking area.
I want to thank all the officers and members of both the Fire Department and the Ladies' Auxiliary and all our friends for their continued help and cooperation.
Please report all fires as soon as they are discovered.
