Respectfully Submitted RAYMOND GODBOUT President 111 BOW YOUNG AT HEART CLUB The year has been a busy and fruitful one for the Club. The Visiting Nurse Association (V.N. A) held three Clinics, for the taking of blood pressure. Also a podiatrist from the (V.N. A.) held two clinics but discontinued them for lack of attendance.
The summer program opened on June 24th, with a picnic at Stanley Flagg's Grove on Rt. 3A. The menu consisted of barbecued chicken, furnished by our hosts, with salads, dess...erts and condiments furnished by the ladies. The big sur- prise— Marjorie and Stan had home made ice cream with fresh strawberries. Our special guest was Selectman Eric E. Anderson. Following the meal, a general discussion was held on local government and its current problems, including those of the local post office.
July 8th, a cruise was taken on Lake Sunapee with a buffet served on the boat, followed by a visit to the Philbrick-Cricenti Bog in New London. Items of special interest at the Bog were the bonsai trees, the fly eating pitcher plants, and the marsh gas.
