The Board took advantage of the lull in the pace of development to pursue its effort to host a "stewardship" program. The purpose of such a program is get a broad cross-section of townspeople and the business community together to identify and make plans to solve, the most pressing issues about our use of the land in Rollinsford. The Board has obtained preliminary approval from the Office of State Planning to obtain a $3,000 grant to conduct the program, and has asked Rollinsford voters to appr...ove a $2,000 budget item to allow Rollinsford to fulfill its obligation to match the grant money with money and in-kind services. A dedicated and hard-working group of people again served on the Planning Board. Former Planning Board Chairman Fred Barry (3/97) (the month/year that each member's term ex- pires appears after the member's name) rejoined the Board as a full member. William Meserve (3/96), a former member of the Dover Planning Board joined the Board as an alternate. Other members of the Board were Richard Bradbury (3/97), Richard Wasson (3/95), Marc Couture (3/96), Armand Laliberte (3/96), Edmund Jansen (ex-officio, Board of Selectmen), and Charles Putnam (3/95).
