December 31, 1963 During the calendar year of 1963 seven new trust funds were established, six for the care of Cemetery lots and one for the purchase of new equipment, when needed, for the Fire Department. $3,000.00 was... withdrawn from the Highway Equipment Fund and used toward the purchase of a new truck for that Department.
150 funds are now being administered. Most of our funds are now invested in Mutual Funds approved "by the State Banking Commission, on which we receive capital gains in the form of stock dividends in addition to the regular dividends. During 1963 we received 35 additional shares of a current value of $381.65 on which we will receive additional dividends in 1964. All funds are in good condition and most are growing as income at present somewhat exceeds expenditures.
