The total for 1981 was twenty-eight with thirteen approved and fifteen disapproved. Six petitions for rehearing were requested of which only one was granted. Al- though fewer in number, complexity continues to be the rule rather than the excep- tion. The Board makes every attempt to reach a just and proper decision with equal concern for all parties in each case. Patrick McKeon, one of the alternates, left the Board last spring upon being elected to the Board of Selectmen. His contributions to ...the business of the Adjustment Board were significant and he is missed. He has been replaced by Mrs. Helen Durham of Rye Beach. The Board meets in the library conference room the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. to hear and decide on the merits of the petitions. Observers, interested citizens, and participants are welcomed and encouraged to attend any of these meetings . We do our best to serve you well. Respectfully submitted, Leon H.
