This once again had to be extended to December 11th.
So on December 11, 1992 at 12 o'clock noon, the Rye Ambulance Corps turned ambulance service over to the Town of Rye. A majority of the Board of Selectmen signed an agreement having the Town of Rye to assume any and all liability pertaining to the past, present, and future. All assets have or will be transferred over to the Town of Rye as per an agreement signed in 1961.
Sometime around the first of February, the Rye Ambulance Corps , Inc. wi...ll be completely dissolved.
Over the past 30 years, the volunteers have surely saved the Town of Rye many tax dollars. I regret the volunteers were too numerous to list in this report. On behalf of the Board of Directors and all the volunteers over the years— THANK YOU! And to all the supporters who helped make it a working organization with no direct cost to the taxpayer- THANK YOU!
