Women's basketball is also available on Wednesday evening and although there is a small number of participants, the game is enjoyed by all who play. Salem women are invited to participate in this program also. SOFTBALL PROGRAM A seven team softball league for Salem men was organized during the summer. Eighty players were involved in fast moving games that were enjoyed by all participants. RECREATIONAL BUILDING The old fire house located on the corner of Millville and Main Street, was given to the Recreational Committee as office space to hold meetings and to utilize as a recreational center within the limits of its accommodations. The building was renovated with the removal of an annex that caused a traffic hazard along with internal repairs, such as electrical work, painting and repairing.
