Each year we are asking the voters for a small appro- priation to defray the expenses of the Department and buy some small equipment.
We responded to twelve calls during 1953, the larger number being forest fires. We find our greatest weakness lies in our inability to move our Forest Fire tools without delay, as we are dependent upon someone with a truck to respond and load the equipment.
We strongly recommend that a small sum of money be raised and aside each year until a suitable used truck c...an be purchased.
