We have bocrowed 834 books from the Bookmobile and many from the Exeter office and the State Library, We have bought reference books, non-fiction and fiction in adult, youth, children and pre- school ages. Cash on hand at the start of the year was $143.25, received form the Morrill Fund $125.00, plus a $10.00 dona- tion and $400.00 from the Town for a total of $678.25. We have spent $570.33 with a balance on hand on Februarys, 1974 of $87.92. Many thanks to Mrs. Dorothy Rice for all the books g...iven to the Library from the late Mary E. Bartlett's own library, also thanks for the book on decoupage in memory of Mary E. Bartlett given by the Sally Plumer Chapter of the D.A.R. the Liberty Press for book marks with the Library name on them, the Exeter Library for the Book Drop and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Woodard for painting and lettering it for us. Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moors for a book written by their son (Finding Your Way in the Outdoors) and to Agnes Woods for several books. Through the efforts of the Library Committee appointed by the Selectmen, the ceiling has been scraped and painted.
