At the final examination the promptness and correctness with which the pupils performed their work, and the clear, dis- tinct tones, loud enough to be heard by all in the room, were very gratifying. No. 3. First term. The teacher has tiie tact to make the work of the school room interesting and attractive to her scholars. Much interest in their school is manifested by the parents. At the clos- ing examination the opening exercises were impressive, the work of the different classes quite correct... and indicated good progress. The school room was very clean and tastefully decorated with leaves, ferns, mosses and flowers. The second term was a continuation of the good work of the first. Reading received good attention. Writing and drawing showed to advan- tage. The younger pupils made good progress. More preparatory work by the teacher outside of school hours would have given in- creased interest to the older scholars in their studies.
