To the School Board of Dublin :— I have the honor to submit my fourth report as superintendent of schools. A considerable im- provement in school conditions and school work can be reported.
Many needed repairs have been made on the school houses. The buildings are now comfortable. In the coming year the interiors should be made mor...e attractive.
Dublin, compared with most small towns, is well supplied with text books. More are still needed for work in literature and nature study, and also more reference books. A good set of wall maps should be placed in each school. In several of my schools in other towns, small school libraries have been introduced the past year with excellent results.
Ten dollars will purchase a good collection of books. Forty dollars would buy four libraries. By moving these, after they have been read, from one school to another a large amount of reading matter could be furnished.
