At the Goodwin Library, the increased usage shows particularly in the areas of in-house usage (items used in the library but not circulated) and interlibrary loan. The computer system, donated in 1989 by Mr.... James E. Thayer, has allowed the library to more readily provide for the public the ILL (Interlibrary Loan) Service. Circulation statistics again increased to 10,190 (adult) and 8,1 36 (children). The library has 1 ,61 9 registered borrowers - this in- cludes numerous family cards. Books purchased in 1990 are as follows - 548 adult titles and 395 children/young adult. These numbers include reference, non- fiction, fiction and paperback titles. The library accepts and appreciates gift books- - 290 books were donated to the library in 1990.
