The year also saw us bring a four-wheeler in service to be used to better handle forest fire emergencies. We were fortunate to be able to purchase this machine using grant money that was available to the Town for forest firefighting improvements. It is a very versatile machine with almost limitless application for all emergency departments in the Town. We are looking forward to the opportunity to evaluate this machine's potential through training and emergency use.
This past year was also satis...fying in that we were able to add several members to the fire department. We welcome any and all interested individuals who might be interested in a position on the fire department and ask that you contact a fireman or visit the fire station on a Monday evening at 7:00 PM when we hold our meetings. Being a fireman is not without it's difficulties, however, I believe any member would tell you that it can be very rewarding. Again, we thank you for your support of the Fire Department over the years and into the future.
