Indeed, it would have been sheer madness on the part of the Ar- menians to attempt a rising when their able- bodied manhood was with the colours. The 112 ARMENIA AND THE WAR second fact the Blue-book reveals is, that the Armenian party leaders did their utmost to dissuade the Young Turks from joining the war.
