He says (Vol. II. , p. 500) : "Outram quotes from Jewish authorities forms of confession connected with the imposition of hands on the victim. One is to the following effect: ' I beseech thee, O Lord, I have sinned, I have done perversely, I have rebelled, I have done (specifying the offense); but now I repent, let this victim be my expiation.
