It has an academy and a Congregational church. NORTHWEST — a farming settlement on the low hills bordering on Gardiner's Bay, in the northwest part of East Hampton town, 3 miles east of Sag Harbor. It contains a population of 78, and is near an arm of Shelter Island Sound called Northwest Harbor.
