9. Length about 9 mm. Black, with light ochreous pubescence. Head as broad as long. Clypeus smooth and shining, with distinct and close punc- tures on the sides ; a narrow median stripe is impunctate. Process of labrum rounded. Mandibles black. Short thin pubescence on the sides of the face, around the antennae and on the lower side of the cheeks. Facial fovea more than half as wide as the distance between the eye and the lateral ocellus. From above, the facial fovea appears light ochreous ; it is separated from the eye by a shining narrow line and extends below the antennal line.
