The honor system is employed, the men being unguarded at all times, and it may be said the men have as a rule readily responded to the honor system; this, in the face of the diversified personnel of the camp, which comprises men serving sentences from a few months to life, and for crimes ranging from petty larceny to murder ; men of all nationalities, from all grades of society and of all trades and professions.
